Bootstrap UI framework for speedy responsive web development

Bootstrap is an open source, and available on GitHub, UI framework tool developed by Mark Otto and Jacob Thornton at Twitter to encourage consistency across internal tools.

It contains HTML and CSS-based design templates for typography, forms, buttons, navigation and other interface components, as well as optional JavaScript extensions. Example:

Due to its modular approach and hence re usability, Bootstrap encourages faster development of web apps and responsive websites. It’s easy to customize and built to work best in all modern desktop and mobile browsers.

Bootstrap consists essentially of a series of LESS stylesheets, Dynamic stylesheets.

Problem with a CSS is when we have thousands of lines of styles and some separated CSS files are to be maintained, things become problematic. LESS is a CSS pre-processor, meaning that it extends the CSS language adding features that allow variables, mixins, functions and many other techniques that allow you to make CSS that is more maintainable, themable and extendable.
